Eric takes another Win on Saturday's final at Homestead in the Easykart 6 series, for 9 laps he sat in second.  With 2 laps to go he tried to make his move to win the race and was blocked by first place.  The officials made the call that first place was blocking which gave Eric the first place win.

On Sunday's race it was almost the same way until a wreck happened with only 2 laps to go which caused a red flag.  The race was restarted and Eric would have to settle for second.  In tech Eric was DQ's for the fuel jet (which by the way was bought from Easykart) it was stamped .73 which is the smallest jet 60 Easykart can use, the no go gauge would not go in this part, it wasn't tampered with and Easykart has known about this problem, but Eric was still disqualified.  I personally don't agree with the call because it is a factory part.  It was not tampered with and a bad call was made.  Eric paid the price because someone in the process of manufacturing this part screwed up and then sold it to the consumers.

For the Florida regional series that took place at Moroso Motor sports park on Saturday in the Easy Kart 60 Eric took the pole, won the heat and won the feature by 15 seconds from the second place entry.  On Sunday, he took the pole in the rain in the Yamaha Jr. Sportsman, won the first heat but due to rain the feature was never ran in either series.  In Cadet he finished 6th and won the Yamaha Jr. sportsman due to the feature’s being cancelled.

This now brings him to first place in state for Yamaha Jr. Sportsman, third place in the Easy Kart 60, fourth in Cadet Jr. Sportsman.

The Easy Kart Series that took place at the newly built Monticello Motor sports track at Monticello, Fl. for the Pablo Montoya Cup. At Saturday’s race, Eric took the pole in the Easy Kart 60 but had fuel problems and didn’t finish the race.  Sunday he placed fourth on pole on the first heat and worked his way up to second position.  On the final heat he started second and got hit by third place and spun out and went to the rear of the pack, he had to pass eleven kids in eight laps and caught the lead.  He took first place on ninth lap and with one to go he fought it out with Gabriel Chavez and won the race on the last turn on the last lap, 25 feet from the finish line.  WHAT A RACE!
