Well the final National race of the season is done and it
was a good weekend for Eric as we placed 6th in Yamaha Jr
Sportsman on Saturday out of 36 competitors. We also got
4th in Cadet out of 19. On Sunday we did real well by
placing 2nd in Cadet. We will see where Eric will be at the
standings with the final season scoring when they're posted. Eric
will probably be in the top 5
in both classes in the points at the WKA Manufactures Cup
out 30 competitors in the season.

The
final Easykart Series event at Monticello was all Eric
Filgueras putting his mark on the 60cc field in Monticello
sweeping the weekends events, claiming both polls and both
race wins. With the double victory Filgueiras now owns
a commanding point lead heading into the Grand Nationals.
Following Filgueriras across th line on both days was Pietro
Fittapaldi and Drew Kimbrel. For Kimbrel the Saturday
race was his first ECS podium of the season.
The championship chase is now Filgueiras’ to lose as he
holds a 75 point lead over Jamie Ortega going into the
Easykart Grand Nationals.

WKA Grand National in South Bend, Indiana. Considering
all the rain, we never got to really practice on Friday.
Eric qualified 7th in Yamaha Jr Sportsman and 5th in Cadet
on Saturday's race. On the final in Yamaha, Eric ended
up in 9th place. In Cadet Jr Sportsman in the
pre-final, due to Jamie Ortega bumping him, Eric lost his
focus and his cart stalled and he had to be restarted.
He ended up starting in dead last. He had to take on
30 drivers and by the final, trying to pass accidents, he
ended in 15th place. On Sunday's race he qualified for
8th position. With his driving skills honed in, he
took 3rd place.
